Cigar’s Temperature and Humidity
Store the cigar humidor in a place where the temperature does not exceed 25°C, and maintain the humidity between 18% and 22%. The ideal relative humidity is between 65%-72%.
cigar’s condition
If the cigar is in good condition, you will feel that it is firm and elastic when you pinch it in the middle with your thumb.
If it feels dry, hard, and brittle, the cigar may not have enough humidity.
If it feels soft and spongy, it may be due to excessive humidity.
Sometimes, you might find something resembling white mold, like a ‘flower’, on the cigar’s wrapper. This can be caused by excessive humidity, but there’s no need to worry as it won’t affect the cigar’s flavor. The best way to remove it is to gently brush it off with a soft bristle brush (a badger fur brush is ideal).
